My Paper/ Ettusais Workshop

Another week gone... I'm 25 yrs and 7 days old.... haha... Just for an update... my ah bro gave me a WP DVD! Hahaha.... finished watching! Aww.... WP is damn cute can???!!! How not to love him?

Skipped Jap class today... cos I reached home at 12 midnight the day before... my vocal class ended at 11 plus... wah lau... super tired lor... But hor! The Lao shi say I got improvement leh.... say I got her point! Hahaha... but still need to work on the emotional part... I guess I can't manage the song in the right way lor.... will try. Cos the song - Zhi Shao Hai You Ni is more suitable for 30+ lady? Hmm you see... how old is Sandy Lam when she started to sing this song?

I shan't find anymore excuses... haha... anyway... after the next class... we will change song! Wahahaha.... hmm of cos it's not that I got tired of that song lah... a happier song would be better? Lao shi said that I sing till like so sad... haha...

Went to Ettusais workshop (which I saw in My Paper) with my colleagues E, HL & S today and bought some items back... woohoo! We sat in the 1st row somemore... haha... then the photographer kept video and snap pics of us... so malu... hope it wouldn't post in MyPaper website or Ettusais workshop. Cos I did not put any makeup!...

Spend $$$ again... after the shopping trip on the weekdays... when Tangs was having 12% discount for CitiBank cardholders... and my colleagues psycho me go... and bought perfume! But I must say its a good buy! Cos I love it! Classic Davidoff Cool Water for woman. And I managed to bargain for a free miniature of Game... and 3 samples for my colleagues too! Lolz...

Back to Ettusais... (abit Off Topic nowadays... dunno why... cos getting older?? Hmmm)

Got a bag of goodies... and good stuff k. Can't resist the temptation of buying a blusher... actually wanted to buy the Benetint from Benefit.... but $60 leh! Too expensive for a little poor girl like me.... HL bought it! Then S and J bought theirs from Bobbi Brown... $41... but at point of time... I'm looking forward to this workshop to see if there are better options.... so didn't buy that.

Haha! And now I bought Ettusais's! $29

Ask the SA to choose which colour that suits me... she chose between a pink one and an orangy one. My colleagues all say pink better. But I thought the orangy better. But uh hum... I'm quite indecisive... so I took the pink one.

Another SA who is very very nice! She gave constructive comments and recommend me the orangy one... ask me if I have pink blusher? Then I said all along I'm using pink. So she recommend orangy one say should try something different. I agreed! I always tried new stuff mah... just like the vitagen collagen. =)

So the SA tried the blusher on my face. But she also carefully applied some loose powder.... omg! It's so nice can???!!! My face suddenly becomes matte and the blush isn't orange at all... in fact has a tint of pink. Okok I must have it!

Then E wanted to buy brow mascara... got 3 colours... and she wanted to apply on me! Hahaha... then very nice again! So I bought 1 lor...

A must buy is the Flat Design Creator! Can hide all my ugly enlarged pores on my face. I bought the Zero Pore Coat last year... and I find that it really hide my flaws.

So happy today lor... got a big harvest! BUT! The hole in my pocket gets bigger & bigger lor!

24岁的最后一天

Haha... the subject of this entry sounds scary right.... yup... i think so too... especially in this 'particular' month... eeewwwwwwww.... scary!

But I think this title is quite 贴切what... after 12 midnight I will not be 24 years old了。I wun be typing my 25th resolution lah... Just wanna to post some pictures and 'story'... in case one day I misplace these 回忆。。。。。or suddenly I got 失忆。。。。。oppsss... choy!

Perhaps it might turn out to be a good thing... lolz! Alright enough of nonsense!

Last Wednesday, one of my colleagues YL from another team went to buy donuts at Raffles City. Hmmm Donut factory? I dunno lah... I only know eat.... nothing else... haha... useless me! Eh? But I found the link wor.... Ok back to story... During lunch, my buddy HL received a call from YL, asking who HL lunching with... then asked if we want donuts??? Muahahahaha.... of course lah! Everyone knows that the queue from there is superly LONG!

Last month, when we are giving a presentation, the office ordered the donuts too... and got leftovers... and haha.. I went Kpo-ing... and was 'rewarded' with a box of donuts shared by YL. Of course, I shared with my team including my team leader.Damn happy and contented! Cos I will never queue for it... Then YL recommend me to take a Rasberry Chocolate... which left only one in the box. I looooooovvvvvveeeeee it!

When we came back from lunch... YL came over to distribute the donuts to us.... and when we are thanking her... she said something like that "我帮你们买，是因为我想起Sandy hor...不然你们都没有份。"

*Stunned*

YL is a very frank person who doesn't care if she offended anyone. But if I'm the 3rd party... I will be so ~ uh-hum.... *speechless* Then YL continued something like that "因为我没有Sandy的handphone number, so 只能打给HL lor"

Again *speechless*

Really thanked her... for remembering me that I like the donuts... At that moment, 我是幸福的。

昨天early in the morning... I received an email from her. It a birthday greeting... with a BIG SMILING FACE... brightens up my day indeed. 感动。。。。。She's sitting just a partition away so I just stood up and thanked her... she's also very 搞笑, ask me to thank her through email... duhz.... of course I know she's joking. =)

My dear colleagues... buddy HL, sisters SS & J treated me to 别府Beppu Menkan Japanese Noodle Restaurant as a form of birthday celebration. Cos last month, J has hers at a Hong Kong cafe at Marina Square... and HL has hers at OUB 包今天。

I cannot take very spicy stuff.... so I only take up the 1 chilli challenge... HL & J took the 2 chillis and SS.... Hahaha.... no chilli challenge.

Not bad huh?

Anyway they will all be leaving by the end of the year to another department, while J will be leaving next month... gosh! Life without these sisters.... is like there's no comedy in this world... haha what an analogy~

Yesterday... what really surprised me... was that in the morning... while I was busy checking my emails... clearing emails as usual... they came over to my place with a green little box and a bright sweet pinky card, with a baby blue coloured of my name drawn on the cuttie card.

I was like Awwwwww~ and they made me opened the present.

Oh my god! My star! Thats the one we chanced upon at a push cart... and it was rather ex for me and so I didn't buy it. Awwww.... I like this very much as it looks like the one in the following picture!

Anyway just wanted to say that being a trainee artiste is nothing great. Just a title doesn't mean anything... haha... at first I was rather shocked and thought it's pro~ kekeke~ And I think anyone can be a trainee artiste. Just that I don't know when I will be get chased out of the class. The Laoshi can be very strict! So don't play play lor...

About my new watch... Tinker! haha its Pink! heh hehe... pink president must wear pink watch *lame* It's Casio Sheen series, endorsed by SHE. I think it's quite affordable (less than a hundred bucks, cheap right???=p) and elegant so I bought it as to pamper myself. Wheeee~

About going out... Gemini! Wanna watch Zhang Dong Liang? Haha... no lah... ya... pretty packed these days... maybe another KTV session in mid Aug? (Ohhhh... pretty soon!)

Just came back from my music class..... I'm terribly tired and upset.

Tired because I went straight after work... and I guess I have used up all my energy at work. At 6pm, still got a meeting with boss. Gotta stay alert~ haiz...less pay more work... arrrggg....

Sad because I think I have not met the expectation of my laoshi~ Even he can see I'm too tired. I know this isn't an excuse... so? sad lor.... haha...

Today's lesson is about 'Karaoke' and Laoshi will point out all the mistakes. I used all my energy to sing the song lor cos last week he said I sing like no energy... Of course no energy lah! I'm hungry cos I rushed from work.... luckily I ate a hotdog bun on my way there... so not that bad. I know the Laoshi got a certain expectation lor... so gotta meet lah... ar boh.. learn for what? Tired sia... Singing can be tiring too~ Is it because of the Dan Tian? Hmmm haven't learn that... haha

Must practise more lor... sing sing sing... haiz... Hope for more improvement next lesson.


Tomorrow (or Today since past 12am) gotta go for my Japanese lesson in the early morning... hop I wun fall asleep. Perhaps afternoon will go for a small run in the gym? Must fully utilise my weekends...


SUNDAY! Anyone wants to go Suntec to see Zhang Dong Liang??? Ahhhh.... I like that Wang Zi song! Wanna see him sing leh... *oppss I din change target lah* Although he's quite cute in Wei Xiao Pasta.

Lalala session

Yesterday reach home at around 12am... gosh... Cinderella~

I'm so so so tired! Really not a day for our lalala session! I nearly fell asleep when singing away~ Plus this K-B** now implement 'stop order' so I couldn't continue singing when the time is up. Tsk!

Went around shopping~ and I bought a Watch! Haha~ my colleagues still help me to get discount... Yea~

Happy!Coz it's PINK!

Duhz... today is National Day~ Stuck at home... dunno where to go~ so tired to go out~ tmr gotta go back to work~ another day of torture~ after that got class to attend... not in a perfect state... tsk tsk tsk...

Lesson 1,2,3

Formally announced that I'm currently a trainee artiste under a music school (which I dun wanna to advertise, as I wun get a single cent~, yes I'm $ minded). By the way, I don't know why they call it a trainee artiste??? Sounds pro though... haha... I was bonded to this title for 6 months~ but well... yesterday, my 老师told me that my relationship with the music school will be FOREVER!

Not that I wanna be a STAR or wat... anyway I'm too old for that... 发明星梦meh? It's just like my Jap class... all bcos of my interest. Now that I can afford to attend these 课外活动, why not just pay to get some experience of LIFE. I envy those young kids who are able to experience these when they are young... so now I'm just 找回那些失去的遗憾。

Surprisingly, my parents did not object to my idea of being a trainee artiste. Perhaps now that I have already completed my studies and they just let me to do some things I longed for.

Hmmm its not easy to attend such course... alot of commitment and of cos the 老师will 好好的批评你。

Lesson1:

Alot of theory.... and very 出奇不意to ask you to sing a song LIVE! I'm a very 健忘person, very very very bad in memorising the lyrics. Thus, I was so afraid that half way through, I will forgot what I am singing. But 老师assured me that it's OK to forget about the lyrics... its not important. Cos he wanted to have a feel of our voice and singing. Well, our class is damn small... only 5 of us... ( 4 at present as 1 of them quit cos she found that this course is not what she wanted).

I chose a radio-friendly song~^.^ 遗失的美好

Rah.... I'm not at my top form as this is so called the 临场表现。Thus, I was trembling a little plus the aircon blast on top of my head... 冷冷冷。。。。。Got to face the 老师and my 同学们。。。好紧张喔!

Lalalalalalala~And end with the last verse.... (cos I really forgotten the last part!)

I thought I'm already in deep shit as the 老师will give comments. This 老师is famous to give a tongue slashing~ I'm already there 冒冷汗。。。

What a relief! He just say that I'm nervous. Good point is that I have a 很美的声线.... Wooooosssshhhhh....


Lesson2:

Singing in a recording studio is a valuable chance for all. Yup... I was given the chance to learn this vocal programme in a recording studio. Lesson 2 is to record a demo as my 1st track in my vocal test which will be held at the end of the year. So called the BEFORE and AFTER.

Track chosen: 至少还有你 (not becos my name is Sandy...but this song is considered my 拿手in my usual KTV sessions with friends) Hahahahaha....

后记: Did not warm up... 声音还没开。Next lesson will be the vocal evaluation of this recording.

Lesson 3:

Which is yesterday after work.... I was damn tired! I was the earliest to reach... and saw Project superstar Darren doing recording. Blah... nothing great to talk about him though during the competition, I supported him rather than Nat. Haha...

Theory again... but 让我百思不解is that this 老师begins to 查我们的底。Lesson 1 asks about our age and whether schooling or working. Lesson 2 asks about our horoscope. Lesson 3!!!!! Ask what???? Boo! Asks about our relationships...感情世界。Horrible man! I was thinking not to say... hmmm... cos my 唯一寄托going to 消失了一半。Anyway this 老师is 2 years older than me... so 尴尬。I don't know what he will be asking for next lesson.

Here comes the evaluation:

Sandy's Evaluation: Better than my demo Da Feng Chui~ Nervous.
老师's Evaluation: 有很好的音色和声线，大家都说好听 BUT 紧张, 声音没开，音一直在飘。

I was wondering why my 老师only commented on that. That's all. While others are very detailed. I kept pondered on my way home...Is it that I'm very 不值得一提?

Anyway, next lesson will be another round. This time without doing the recording... hope I can do it.

Luckily, next Wed going to K with some colleagues... haha a practice! yeah! Cos Friday I will be dead meat...

紧张-ing~

Blah... I want to pamper myself from now on. 人生短短。。。。何必太计较。Just went for a hair treatment~ Heh heh... loving my hair... loving myself~这死不要脸的自恋狂!
