NDP NE preview 15/07/06

Yeah! My 1st time to NDP Preview. It's actually a National Education Show where alot of primary school students will go and perhaps may have feel of being a citizen of Singapore. A friend of mine SMS me the day before to ask if I would like to go? Of course lah! I'm a loyal citizen of Singapore and I feel proud to be one ok?! Though I may not look like Singaporean but I'm proud to tell people I'm a 100% Singaporean! I love the atmosphere at NDP where you would feel malu when you sing the national anthem and saying the pledge loudly. This is when you can wave the national flag high up, as if you are supporting your idol! I went to the actualy NDP 2 years ago... but not the preview. So now I got to see how the preview like. And this is the last year that the NDP is going to be held at the National Stadium. NDP 2007 will be at Padang, the 'small' football field.(-_-)

*On my way from Kallang MRT to National Stadium* The admission ticket is with my friend so I didn't know that we are encouraged to wear RED! I asked my friend the day before but she say not everyone is On wearing red shirts. So... I wear PINK! Anyway it's also a shade of red mah... lighter shade only.

Nah... my friend XinHui wants a picture with me.... of course I didn't charge her money lah! (LOL) She invited me to NDP preview one leh.

These pictures are not in sequence because I'm totally immersed in the NDP mood and I guess its quite a fuss to dig out the Programme booklet...haha

This is Vincent Ng翁清海, Mediacorp artiste, standing high up waving the Big Flag. I tried to zoom in my camera.. failed to capture him clearly.

So many people (or students?) Mediacorp can go and film a 古装戏 featuring them.Maybe a 曹操 movie with them as his troops? Good idea yea?

Poor NS guys... match into the parade square. Going to stand there for hours. Luckily the sun that day is not very bad, or else you guys are going to dedydrate man!

Their formation. Its always the year... so next year formation is 2007... blah!

The pink flags caught my attention! Duhz... my pinky baby's company flag.

See the students in red sitting in the front rows. They are enjoying themselves throughout the whole show... all the screamings... ahhhh... super man!

And the masses of RED. I'm like buried inside the RED SEA. My friend still says that I will be special as I wore pink and could be spotted easily. NO lor! Oh see the person in yellow with red cap? They are the motivators where they danced along with the choir's singing, but I'm not being motivated at all because the motivators at our side are like dying.... their face are like we owed them 500 dollars-- so grumpy.(My joke to my friend)

Happy Singaporeans. I was thinking if they are really happy because they got to see the show or just the goodies bag? This year is a BIG one! 1 bottle of mineral water, 1 bottle of Newater, 1 packet of 铁观音tea(I think its Yeo's brand... quite nice leh!), 1 packet of sports drink (awful drink!), alot of small packets of titbits, biscuits.... a mini fan, a small bottle of medicated oil (scared people faint is it?), a small national flag, a cap.... aiya... still got dunno what lah.... alot lah!

I saw a big white balloon floating around... and actually there's a person there making gracful moves as if they are flying across the audience gallery. Looks like a dancing fairy?

The parachutes! Up above my view.... quickly get a snap shot before they are already down 'on' me.

The Videos!

So funny! I don't know... i just find them funny....

Finally landed safely... wooh~~~~~

This one is nice with the flag! I like to see flying flag...

Our heros! All safely landed.

This one my dad's 'fave'. Purposely took this picture to irritate him! Haha.... Kevin Tan 陈伟联, winner of Project SuperStar, singing 小人物的心声 where he's not a 小人物 anymore. Contradicting hor? And why must this song be sang every year? Who wants to be a 小人物 in Singapore? Doesn't we are being encouraged to be a 大人物 when we grow up in future?

Keira Gong龚诗嘉, new Singaporean singer who sang the NDP theme song this year. She looks quite petite from far leh.

Instead of the singer, this caught my attention again! PINKY! Even the choir is PINK! HOT PINK! LOL.... My friend suspected that I'm the planner of NDP this year. Well, I'm only the one who wrote the proposal, who knows they used my idea? (Joking lah!)

Welcome Minister of Defence Mr Teo Chee Hean. I'm excited! Haha... I don't know why?

Please rise to sing the national anthem. Oh I missed it so much. It had been so long that I never get to sing the national anthem.

The fly past. Wooh! Flying flag again!

The sky is getting darker... but the background of the choir is lighting up and it's nice!

Hello Mr Teo Chee Hean! Can you see me? I'm here!!!

Coming nearer.... *frantically waves at him* Can you see me???

Finally a smile! (No lah! He smiled at the kids sitting in the front row lah!) Okay I shall explain why I'm excited. Because I admired his spirit during the election. Shall not digress in case I'll be accused of blogging political issues here.

This don't know what fighter plane... wah lau! Super loud! My ear drums almost burst! Fly so FAST! But i managed to snap it lah.

The rifles.... piak piak piak.... sound like **** LOL.... *disgusted with myself*

This is awesome! Global city... see a city can be global.... My home!

Sky getting darker and darker.... Here's the march past.

Actually can see the lights in the audience.... it's really beautiful when you are at there. We are supposed to switch on our free torch.

See Nokia 3250... and it's PINK! LOL.... again my friend is disgusted with me and my pinkiness... Hahahaha...
Narcissist should take a picture with the pinky torch! Can endorse for Nokia phone liao lah... LOL!
The cap has lights... and before that I already try to find out where the switch is. While telling my friend about it, the people sitting behind must have overheard and they were like... hey the cap got lights.... duhz....
Hanabi! Hanabi! Hanabi! (Hanabi=Fireworks in japanese)

And at this point of time, my camera battery is running very low. I thought it's ok cos' I brought along extra battery. Who knows... the batteries are actually not recharged! Stupid bro bluff me!!! Ahhhhh....... then how to take my hanabi???

Can see the lights in background? Those are the torch lights lor! Impressive!!!!

Hanabi again! *Excited* Stupid battery! I can't take them in multiple shots!!! Idiot!

Sad... I wasn't enjoying the rest of the show.

The lightings are strong and bright. (what a boring description... haiz)

Hopes and dreams... If you have hopes and dreams, work towards it!

I don't know what I'm taking the pictures of??? I'm looking forward for HANABI!

*Super excited* Here they are! Series of hanabi just flashed across...

Colourful ones... but my camera was bit retarded... haiz.... batteries fault.

I only saw colours.... but I'm just aiming for more hanabi!

I like the second one... the golden ones... but again low batt... my favourite part can't be captured. Ahhhhh.... i want to save up and invest on a better one!

The finale! Red and white balloons were flying in the sky! Sometimes I wondered who is the main cause of land and sea pollution.(The balloons may flew down into the sea) Lastly... end up with 3 cheers for Singapore! Hip Hip Hurray! Hip Hip Hurray! Hip Hip Hurray!

I'm satisfied! Haha...but kinda tiring to walk all the way back to Kallang MRT from the stadium.

PS: Blogging this entry makes me want to sleep. The process of uploading the pictures is damn slow... but because of they are wonderful pictures with memories.
