Yesterday and Today

Yesterday went for my 1st interview... a very formal interview... I thought it will be a gone case... who knows... I got in! I thought there will be 2 or 3 rounds of interviews but only 1 and the HR takes me in! I'm just lucky... thank you luck lady!

I was sent to a pre-employment medical checkup at once (of course for free!)... it's a high class clinic man! My 1st ever step into a high class place like that. There are over 10 customer service ladies there, 3 consultation rooms, 6 service counters, 1 medical laboratory, 1 measurement room, 1 X-ray clinic at the side door and pantry area where there are 3 PCs that can surf internet. WOW! I was a bit 受宠若惊!

After taking the queue number, I was called to the counter and the lady there was very nice! She asked me to fill up forms and gave me a small bottle for urine test. Uh hum! Urine test? Ok la I did that once in my Pre-Uni... but at that point of time, I have to go to the toilet and wait till I'm ready. (You know what I mean?) I regret for not taking much fluid in that morning. After that I wrapped the bottle in a piece of tissue and hurried to place it in the medical lab. So paiseh... got guys patients there lor!

And then next, to the X-ray! I was so dumb! I went in and the lady ask me to sign so to certify that I'm not pregnant and to write down the date of my last mensuration. Dumb me... gotta take out my organiser to check! I guess the lady is smirking at my ignorance. Then I was called in to wear a piece of navy blue clothing for X ray. There is even an instruction pasted on the wall. (Ladies should know) I feel insecured! However I was not told to remove any jewellery, where last time when I took an X ray of my teeth (because of braces) I was told to remove my necklace. So now I did. The person who takes the Xray is nice... even help me to clip up the hair. She checked that if I have any necklace( uh hum... I'm clever to do so before she told me to). It was fast. And I was told to dress up.

Next... go to the measurement room.
1st weight! I was scared to see how HEAVY I am! Lucky I didn't had any breakfast that very day because the interview is in the morning and I got to spend alot of time dressing up and get out of my house early. I was down 500 grams compared to when I weighed at home. LOL... I was smirking when I took a peep at my weight.
2nd height! I was asked to turn over, without facing the measuring equipment... arrggg I should have asked the lady who measured for me... now I never know how tall I was, or rather how short!
3rd colour blindness check! Chey I can read all the numbers lah! God bless that I'm not colour-blinded.
4th eyesight check! I'm wearing contact lenses and I'm scared that I can't read the alphabet. Lucky enough I can see! Wooh! The letters are the smallest when you go for the normal eyecheck.

Lastly, visit the doctor! My doctor is a lady with a beautiful name Louisa. She's a pretty lady too! I guess she's 1 or 2 years older than me. She has nice pretty curls, her long doll-like eyelashes and her french manicure, with pink and white! WOW! Vain pot's doctor also must be vain! She took my blood pressure, check my breathing and pressed my abdomen. The cutest thing is after she had done all that, she told me" Ok... you are alright! Can go and start work already!" Heh... Then I said thank you to her and she very cute! She said "Ok... Bye Byeeee...." with a dolly voice. Haha... suddenly change to a dolly voice... that's funny! So I imitate her "Bye Byeeee" with a dolly voice....LOL....

Done! The medical report will be sent to the office. I was rather worried that my lungs or what got problem because recently I had been coughing a lot! My health not that stable also... haiz... lucky WHEW! Everything ok!

This morning got a call from HR that the letter of appointment is ready. So I headed down to sign the contract. 1st time to sign contract... have to take a good look man! After signing I will be contracted for 3 months! And after 3 months it will be extendable or convert to perm for other position openings. God bless everything will be OK for me... everything goes smoothly!

I just got a missed call from HR again to confirm that my medical checkup is cleared and I will be reporting to work next month. Long waiting man! At least I can slack for now... but eating grass because no $$$. I think it's a courtesy to call back to thank the HR for calling and so I did. (Trying to leave a good impression lah!) I guess I need to write a thank you card to my agent too! Without her, I may not find a job that soon.

I hope my colleagues will be equally good and nice! I hope my superiors will be as nice as my ex-supervisor. I hope I can adapt to the environment quickly and as the HR said, enjoy my stay there. Wish me luck!

PS: Less bloggings from next month on... boohoo... but I can be an OL soon! Hehe... Vainpot!
