Activity: Countown and Fireworks
Last day of Year 2006. We must have a big feast! This is the famous 無招牌海鮮餐館。Not that cheap though.
And of course the 2 Glam Queens of the night. Purposely put on glitters to shine Vivo... Haha...
Net's cousin coming along with us. I think it's really very hard on her as she accompanied us to walk all the way from Clarke Quay to Boat Quay and then to Padang.
The Padang countdown is a really surprised one! There's over thousands of people gathered around Padang field and at the parliament house. The traffic is stopped. There are car horns all the way as all the cars at the junction there were all 'engine-off'. We of course get into the field and find a good place to sit.
I was standing up. I guess it's a good position to see the fireworks and with excitment, I can jumped! Haha... The 1st firework came without our notice... and that's it! It's already the 1st second past Year 2007. The fireworks~..... Fantastic!
I like the golden ones.... they resembles gold! Splashing onto me~! Wooh! I feel rich! Hoping to get richer in Year 2007. That was an unforgettable sight.
Then after that there's no cabs available! Even we have bucks to spend but not a single cab! What the~ And we just walk n walk... then saw a night rider at Suntec and just hop in wherever the bus is going.
Drop at somewhere near Chinatown and walked all the way near WY's house. Planned to ton over at her place but there were 7 of us! No way for her parents to accept this right? I mean we need to be 'automatic' too.Called the cab hotline... I was the 1st the get through while others couldn't even get the ringing sound... Told the operator where we are and where we heading to....wait for like 10-15minutes.... till we walked to a nearby petrol station.... they just hung up the phone saying no cabs available. Wah lau! We were like..... dead.
*Ting* Just then, a cab drove into the petrol station. We immediately waved to it. The cabbie was saying like he's going to the gents and gestured us to wait.
Thought of buying some chips and drinks at the mart at the petrol station, there's a super long queue at the cashier. Arrrrggggg...... so give up the thought.
I thought it would be the end of the countdown event and I will be going home sweet home. Duhz.......... My so called the 好朋友.... they don't let me go home! When I asked the uncle to drove to my staying area... they said we are going to ton at Net's house. Ahhhhhhhh............. with my makeup and contact lens????!!!! 好朋友 means 好朋友, she's going to provide me makeup remover and contact lens solution plus lens casing....and pyjamas! Net's cousin is exceptional nice to me by lending me her new small Winne The Pooh cushion to hug to sleep.
Guess what's my 1st gift on the 1st day of Year 2007?
A new toothbrush! From Net. =)
