Cameron continues Part II

2nd day....

We have almost finished visiting the famous locations....

So we planned to visit the tea plantation! Upon coordinating with the hotel tour planner, we hired 2 cabs down. Alright, I must say the rides are really fantastic! Why? Their driving skills.... really super!

Very postcard like picture~ of course lah... looks who's the photographer here. This is taken at a side of the mountain where the driver dropped us there for a while to take pictures.

There's a local drama called what huh? what....茶园香? Whatever lah... I'm in the plantation....surrounded by tea plants! Hey yo hey yo ar.....采茶去了! Where's my basket to carry on my back?

Fresh tea leaves! When you pluck it and crushed it in your palms, there's a tea fragrance with is similar to the tea bags we have at home.

Is there a deity up there? Hmmm....闭关修炼成仙...

Went off to BOH tea factory.This is the 1st tea leaf tree at Cameron Highland.

How's the tea leaves are being packed in big gunny bags. The tea leaves scent~ WOW! 扑鼻而来!

Of course I'm just taking how the tea leaves are being processed and not that lady worker! It's quite hot in there.... but how come they still wear those thick clothings?

See the scenery~ Ohhh~ I wished I had built a house there. Every morning you can just see a huge patch of greenery~

Must have some tea to 配合 the scenery and atmosphere! Ooooohhhh... like some rich Tai Tais and of course a rich man (one of the taitai's husband) drinking 1st grade quality of Cameron Tea. Next time must bring my rich husband there... Will he like it? He MUST like it!

This grass jelly lookalike chocolate melted cake..... MARVELLOUS!

After visiting the factory and plantation, it's lunch time! We took the cab down to Tanah Rata. Went to Tea cafe for the lunch. Famous for backpackers! Cos I saw alot of handsome angmohs there with big big backpack.... I wondered when I can be like one of them? Must sign agreement with my mama~

Anyway I ordered a chicken pasta and strawberry milkshake! Fresh strawberries! Yummy!

These are the desserts. The Scone with the butter, cream and rasberries jam is famous! Taste wise.... OK lah.... But I still like the strawberry cheesecake! Not that is pink, it really taste wonderful! Errrrr.... as for the apple pie behind..... erm..... who cares? hahaha....

There's this fire place at the lobby of the hotel. This surely lighted up our Christmas mood! With the cold weather outside... I guess it's around 15 degrees? We tried taking pictures with it.... my camera failed seriously~ so the pictures are with my buddies... gotta wait for theirs then.

Wanted to have a self taken picture with the lighted up Xmas Tree behind.... This is the 3rd or 4th picture after trials~ Still bit shaky~ hmmm....

Finally with the help of the bell boy.... got a nice picture with the Xmas Tree behind. Lol.... quite lame though~

Our dinner! Yay! At a restaurant in the hotel. Very expensive but nice food! I felt like a VIP. Hee~ Well... our 1st dish...shark fins soup has been finished by us, thats why not in the picture...hehe~

Going back to Singapore on the next morning! I missed the scenery and weather! Especially the weather! My skin is much better after the trip.... hmmm... hehe.

Cameron Highlands

Finally got the time to upload and post all about my trip to Cameron Highlands.

Here we go:

Date: 7th Dec 2006

Time:9pm

Venue: Golden Mile

We are in a 18 seater coach! Can stretched our legs! Hee~ very comfy!And the exciting journey is about to begin.

The 18 seater coach! Woohoo~ giving me a comfortable ride~Because in the night, the road is damn narrow and bumpy. Travelling uphill is the most terrifying experience. I delibrately not to sleep and watched how the coach was driven. There're alot of turnings, and the width of the road is almost exactly the width of the coach. Plus there's isn't any road lights... I feel safer in Singapore.

This isn't our hotel.... NO! We got standard one ok! This is the place we stopping to have our 1st breakfast. I ordered wanton mee with dark soya sauce, exclusive in Cameron Highlands and not in Singapore. Verrrrrrieeeeeee nice!

After the long tiring journey, we have finally reached!

The Equatorial Hotel! We will be staying here for 2 nights!

High High into the sky! 1628 metres above sea level! Wooh! 20 degree celsius isn't the coldest during my stay.

Dawn break~ Sing to the dawn~

How wonderful it is to pass my day there in December.... I wondered if it's Xmas, that will be more wonderful!

Without resting much in the hotel because it would be a waste of time then, we ventured out. I just like the scenery.... one picture that I like of all. Though I looked a bit tired.

But..... I'm still happy!!!! It's really a holiday! With the nice scenery and weather! Yay!

This is a shop down hill from the hotel.... selling lots of strawberries related mechandise. And this is the place I bought alot of goodies back to my fellows.

Our 1st lunch at Cameron. Not too bad! I told you I'm not a pampered child.These dishes are fine with me. We must eat full full to carry on our journey for the next half of the day.

The long tiring half day Agro-trip begins. We will be going to see vegetables and flowers!

美女 and 美丽的花. I guess we are going to become 花痴 there. The moment we see pretty flowers, we will take a photo...

See? Again right? I didn't bluff mah~ All sort of colours...

Super 花痴! Look! It's a HOT PINK one! Who bothers the yellow one behind? Haha~ I like this picture the best! But 貌美如花 doesn't fit the description of me... sad to say.

Where does that leading to? Up to my secret palace? Hur hur hur...

Why this 仙人掌? I think it looks gross to me.... What do you think?

So MANY?! Hahaha.... *pricks*

This the the hydrophonic vegetables.... grows only in water... no soil. See the roots? Drip drip drip .....water....

I gonna eat it! Organic vege... good for health.... haha....

Strawberry! Never see a strawberry farm before... great insight!

I like this cute little one! Uh Hem.... the red one of course! Doesn't it looks like those cute stickers? I wondered how it taste.... should have secretly pluck it and kept it.

Strawberries~ growing in pots! Kawaii right? Never know that they grow in this way.

The vegetable plantation. Can't really figure out what type of vegetables are there... but they grow on soil.

T-O-M-A-T-O! Red right? Very red right? Haha... please! Don't compare to my face colour! I know some readers sure compare.


Visting the chrysanthemum~

The ride to this place is rather scary. They drove into small alleys and it was raining. The road is super bumpy that will swerve you from left to right and from right to left. Especially the drivers! Oh god! I must keep praying on the way. They may be quite reckless man! I wondered if Singapore allows them to drive in.... haha... sure kena fined! But no regrets for the bumpy ride.The Chrysanthemum! It's very massive! Thought of plucking some to bring back to boil it....make it a cooling tea! Hahaha~

At the top view of water cress plantation. I feel like I'm a fairy on the top of the hills~ or was it a mountain? Lol.. That's the last stop for the day before we went off for dinner.

The dinner is a frightening experience for me. It's kind of very 乡下type of living standard. I'm not a pampered princess... but I just can't adjust myself to that type of environment. Especially I have a phobia with cats or kittens running around. There's this kitten hiding under the table and I was so afraid that I could not help to held up my legs on the chair. I couldn't concentrate eating my dinner and end up just having a few bites. At that moment, I just wish to go back to the hotel as soon as possible. Though my friends have comforted me that the kitten has been chased away... I still couldn't help to think of it. They will never know the extent of my cat-phobia.

End of Day 1. Next post will be continuing the 2nd stay in Cameron.
